Kirby Super Star Ultra is an action platformer that HAL Laboratory developed and Nintendo published for the Nintendo DS in 2008. The game works as an expanded remake of the Super Nintendo classic Kirby Super Star, updating the original with sharper visuals, new story sequences, fully voiced cutscenes, and support for the DS touch screen. Kirby is a small, round hero from the planet Popstar with the unique power to inhale enemies and copy their abilities. Players can steal more than 20 different powers during a run, including sword, fire, ninja, and wheel, giving them constant new ways to approach any fight. A two-player local wireless mode lets a second player join as a Helper character, which Kirby creates from his current copy ability, adding a cooperative angle to each adventure. Milky Way Wishes sends Kirby across several planets where players collect copy abilities rather than steal them on the spot, changing how they plan their build.
