Valkyria Chronicles II is a tactical role-playing game developed by Sega WOW and published by Sega for the PlayStation Portable handheld console. Released in 2010, the title serves as a direct sequel to the original Valkyria Chronicles, which first appeared on the PlayStation 3 in 2008. The story takes place two years after the events of the first game and follows Avan Hardins, a young cadet who enrolls at the Lanseal Royal Military Academy to track down his missing brother. Players command Class G, a group of student soldiers who fight against a rebel faction known as the Gallian Revolutionary Army. The game keeps the BLiTZ battle system from the first entry, which blends turn-based strategy with real-time third-person action. Players move each soldier across the map, aim weapons by hand, and use cover to survive enemy fire.
