Roms Portal

About Roms Portal

Roms Portal began as a personal catalogue of retro console ROMs that were impossible to find in one organized place. It grew into a public archive — methodically organized by platform, genre, and region, with accurate specs on every entry.

What we catalogue

Every ROM in the archive is verified against its published header checksum and tagged with its region code, file size, and known-compatible emulators. We do not host files — every entry links to a trusted external mirror or the publisher's official preservation source. If a link goes dead, we update or remove it.

How listings are maintained

Platform data (console, publisher, developer, region, and release year) is sourced from official press records, cartridge labels, and preservation databases. Spec errors happen — when they do, corrections go live within a few days of being reported.

Editorial policy

Roms Portal is an archive, not a storefront. We do not take payment for inclusion, placement, or any form of promotion. The catalog reflects what has been preserved, not what anyone has paid to list.
