Hitman 2 Silent Assassin is a third-person stealth action game developed by IO Interactive and published by Eidos Interactive for the Nintendo GameCube in 2003. The game returns players to the role of Agent 47, a genetically engineered assassin who comes out of retirement after his mentor is kidnapped from a Sicilian monastery. Players take contracts across the globe, accepting briefings from the mysterious ICA agency and traveling to locations like Russia, Japan, Malaysia, and India. The core gameplay rewards patience and observation over loud gunfights. Players study patrol routes, swap outfits with guards, and slip past enemies to reach high-value targets.
